RETAIL SERVICES RETURN POLICY

Textbooks

We offer a full refund for textbooks in new condition that are returned with receipt by the end 
of the fourth week of classes. If you drop a course after the refund deadline, you can return 
books until the final drop date of classes with a LORIS account printout and receipt, as long as the book is in new condition. No restocking fee will be applied.

 

Exemptions:

Packaged textbooks are exempt from this policy and are non-returnable if the package seal is broken

Custom Laurier Coursepacks are exempt from this policy and are non-returnable.

You must have a copy of your receipt.

General Merchandise
Gifts and clothing items may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Items must be in new condition with tags attached and accompanied by a sales receipt

CDs/DVDs are non-returnable.

General Books
General Books can be exchanged within 14 days of original purchase. Books must be in new condition accompanied by a sales receipt.

Computer Products
Computer hardware, software and accessories may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Merchandise must be in original packaging and in perfect condition. Computer software packages must be unopened. If you have defective merchandise please return the item as soon as possible as we may be able to offer a replacement or manufacturer’s warranty.

ONLINE ORDERS FOR ALL LOCATIONS
Returns made from purchases online must follow the return policies stated above. 
Merchandise must be in original packaging and in mint condition, items damaged during the return shipment will not be accepted.

We recommend that packages being returned are insured using a traceable shipping method (i.e. Purolator Courier or Priority Post). We do not accept responsibility for items lost in transit.
The original receipt must be returned with the product. Refunds are issued in the original form of payment. The return can be made to either the Laurier Bookstore or Stedman Community Bookstore and must be postmarked within 14 calendar days from the original purchase.

Original shipping charges are refunded only when the return is due to an error in processing or shipping by the Laurier Bookstore or the product is defective.
